Lining and Interlining – What’s the Difference?
Curtains and fabric blinds are typically constructed from a main fabric that faces into the room and a lining fabric that faces the window. Plain lining fabrics are typically cheaper than the decorative or patterned main fabrics and you only look at one side of your curtains! Interlining is an optional additional layer of fabric that sits between the main fabric and the lining. This provides extra insulation and also gives curtains a rounder, plusher appearance with fuller pleats..
