As part of this we have recently invested in a market leading, UK manufactured, Ultrasonic Welding Machine for our Vertical Blinds.
Ultrasonic Welding
From July 2015 we will be moving from stitched louvres to welded louvres with the aim to continue providing quality products with advanced features. By having this new technology we can offer even better benefits such as:
- The new procedure will enable us to become more efficient and accurate when stitching the louvres.
- Louvre top and bottom pockets are ultrasonically sealed meaning no pin holes left by stitching, ensuring a superb and precise strong weld.
- No loose threads at the edges means no trimming is required. There will no longer be any disintegrated stitching from the thread going brittle in the sun.
- By ultrasonically sealing the louvres, when used in conjunction with Biocote or Ultra-fresh fabrics, it helps to prevent the spread and contamination of bacteria, making it the perfect and preferred solution for hospitals, doctor's surgeries and dentists.
- We can also offer the louvres with a three sided welded bottom pocket which comes with an enclosed stabilising weight, eliminating the need for low level stabilising chains making the blind safer – you can also add a wand control to ensure for a totally Child Safe Solution.
