At Loveless Cook Blinds, we pride ourselves on our wide range of top quality window dressings. One of our most popular styles of blinds is venetian blinds. Here’s our guide to this attractive and versatile window covering.
What are venetian blinds?
Venetian blinds are made of horizontal slats that can be easily adjusted with blind pulls. Venetian blinds are versatile, giving you control over heat, light, and privacy. Slanting the blinds downwards allows light to enter the room while preventing people outside from seeing in, which makes them perfect for bedrooms and rooms that are overlooked.
What types of venetian blinds are available?
At Loveless Cook Blinds, we supply a wide selection of venetian blinds from some of the UK’s leading manufacturers. These include:
- Aluminium venetian blinds
These inexpensive venetian blinds can be painted in a wide range of colours to brighten up a room. We supply a range of attractive aluminium venetian blind systems from Silent Gliss.
- Wooden venetian blinds
Wooden venetian blinds are attractive and desirable. We supply a range of wooden venetian blinds in colours to suit every room.
- Cordless venetian blinds
We supply Swish’s range of cordless venetian blinds, SwishRise. Operated by simply touching the bottom bar, they are child safe by design and accessible.
- Perfect fit venetian blinds
Perfect fit blinds can easily be installed via a simple snap-fit operation. Designed for uPVC windows and doors, perfect fit venetian blinds are often used in conservatories.
Are venetian blinds child safe?
Most venetian blinds come with looped cords, meaning they must be properly fitted with a child safety device in order to be child safe. We can supply a range of appropriate devices. However, cordless venetian blinds like the SwishRise range are child safe by design. The window blind child safety campaign Make It Safe recommends them as a one alternative to styles of blinds with looped cords.
